Then, we went in the den and enjoyed some play time with her. She is into everything now that she can crawl! After playing and eating breakfast, I put her down for her nap and we got dressed. We woke her up at 9:45 and got her dressed to go to Canton. She wore one of my favorite outfits!
We got to Canton around 10:15 and got the painting I talked about earlier. Here is the painting:
I just love it! This was an old canvas I had gotten at Target years ago! I was tired of what was on it, so I gave it to the girls at The Gallery and let them revive it! I'm so proud of it! A few weeks ago, we got this one from the same place:
As you can see, I LOVE bright colors! We have been married almost 12 years and it's taken me all this time to realize that it's ok to put these bright colors in our house! I guess I was scared. But, now I just want to put things in our house that I love and make me happy so I just don't care! ha! I mean, I care, but I don't care if it's too bright and colorful!
This is the view looking from our dining room across the foyer to the front room.
It's a work in progress. We've been in this house for 9 years and we are just now working on these rooms. It took us a while to figure out what to do with the front room. We decided to put a desk and computer in the front room to make it sort of an office. Greg Harkins made us the desk you can see. I've got to find some baskets to fit in the shelves. I've also got to add pictures to the frames on the wall. We are going to get a new rug that goes better with everything.
The dining room was painted red when we moved in and it stayed that way until last summer. My grandmother gave me the piano and it's very special to me. When I sit down to play it, I remember sitting in her living room playing for her. I can't play very well anymore, though.
Anyway, we hope to get these rooms looking better!
Back to our day...
We got home from Canton around lunch. I fed Wright and put her down for a nap. I left Randy and Wright at home and just got out by myself for a bit. It's not very often that I do this and I miss Wright so much when I leave her, but I know that it's good for me to have a little "me" time. I didn't do much and was only gone for 2 hours but it was nice! I went to Sweet Dreams in Madison to swap out something for Wright. It was my lucky day because they were having a 75% off sale! I got Wright some cute things for next year. I got a total of $252 for $66! Here's what I got:
I'm so proud of my finds! I never get such good deals! Everything except the snowman dress are size 2. The snowman dress is a 3. There were some size 4 smocked dresses that I almost got, but I just had to stop myself! After Sweet Dreams, I went to a few other boutiques that aren't easy to get in and out of with Wright. I just enjoyed looking around.
When I got home, we sat on the patio for a while to enjoy the pretty day.
While I was out, one of my former cheerleaders called and wanted to come see us. She goes to Mississippi State and was home for the weekend. She is a Phi Mu and she brought Wright the cutest pair of pink shoes with a lion on them!
Wright playing with Drew
I always love catching up with Drew. She is planning to be physical therapist. Smart girl!
After she left, Randy grilled steaks for dinner. We had steak and sweet potato. This was a big treat for me!
I bathed Wright and got her to bed, then took a bath and got in bed. I put her down at 7:00 and I got in bed shortly after! ha! I just like to take a bath and get in bed and watch tv and relax.
That was our sweet Saturday!

I love your blogs, consider doing it myself, is there any particulars for doing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO SO much!!! You definitely should do one! I would love t read yours! I think you have to have a gmail email account to set up a blog. At least, that's how I did mine. I set this one up so long ago that I can't remember! ha! I swear, having Wright took away some of my brain! I can't remember anything! I do remember that I googled it and that set me in the right direction.
