Taking care of Hot Mama!

(I started writing this post yesterday)

It's Wednesday morning and I am at my parents house sitting in the den with Hot Mama and Wright.  We're drinking coffee, got the fire going and watching Wright crawl all around.  Hot Mama sprained her ankle and is having to keep it propped up.  I had to work yesterday and got to leave at 11:30.  Randy was out of town last night for work, so we decided to surprise Hot Mama and come take care of her!  We got here at 2:30 yesterday in the POURING rain!  I told her I had seen a good recipe for loaded potato soup and thought I would make it for her.  So, Wright and I went to the grocery store and got the stuff to make it.

It turned out pretty good!  I made bacon to top it with, too!  It was good for a cold, rainy night!
Connie, Melissa and Mallory came by to see us and we enjoyed visiting with them.  Then, Andy, Hayes and Wilkes came by to see us.  The boys were so sad that "Uncle Wandy" wasn't there, too.  We played their favorite game - Hide and Seek!  I always have fun with them!  After they left, I put Wright to bed and cleaned up the kitchen.  Then I just hung out with mama and daddy.  It's always nice to be home!
I got up the next morning and sat on the porch for a few minutes.  I love sitting on the porch at my parents house.

I got Wright up and 7:00.  Pops left for work around 7:30 so we were glad we got to visit with him a little bit before he left.  Then, we sat in the den with BeBe by the fire.  I think she was so glad to have some company.  I know it gets lonely sitting in a chair by yourself all day!

She made a grocery list of things she needed for me to get for her so I went to the store and then just did whatever else she needed me to do for her.  I did hem 3 pair of pants for her and I told her she must know that I really love her because that it not my favorite thing to do!  I was so wishing my Nana were still alive because she loved to hem pants for us!
Wright and I left around 3:30 heading back to Madison.  I picked these flowers before I came home.  They remind me of my grandmothers.

Randy got home around 6:00 and we got Wright to bed and then got in the bed ourselves!  We were all so tired!

BeBe and Pops sent Wright a Valentine's Day card and she loved it!

We'll probably just hang around the house today.  We may get out and run some errands.  I recently started watching Downton Abbey!  I watched the whole first season on Netflix.  I requested season 2 from the library and they sent me and email saying it's ready to be picked up! yay!  So, we'll go pick that up and then we need to get Wright some new pj's.  The 12 months aren't really fitting anymore!

The sun is FINALLY shining and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day! yay!!!
